The Allegany State Park Historical Society is an enthusiastic community of like-minded individuals who share a love for Allegany State Park’s past, present, and future. We meet on the third Saturday of each month. Please visit the Schedule page for the most up-to-date meeting information. In addition to our monthly meetings, we proudly support a variety of park programs and special events, including the Annual Christmas with Santa Party, First Day Hike, and National Public Lands Day. From mid-spring through mid-fall, we also offer historical tours of the Summit Fire Tower and Stone Tower, in partnership with the Friends of Allegany State Park, one of several organizations we collaborate with to support and enhance the park. Interested in getting involved? Visit the Join Uspage to learn more. While membership is not required to attend meetings, becoming a member is a meaningful way to support our work and help preserve the rich history of Allegany State Park for future generations.
