Step into Allegany State Park’s industrial past at the Red House Sawmill. During the warmer months, knowledgeable volunteer guides from the Friends of Allegany State Park and the Allegany State Park Historical Society are on site to welcome visitors and share insights into the sawmill’s important role in the park’s history.
While the experience is self-guided, volunteers are available to answer questions and provide context about the sawmill’s deeply ingrained connection to the region’s logging heritage and the development of Allegany State Park.
